This was more like a home than somewhere just to stay for a few days. It’s well taken care of, spacious, and has so many outdoor options for spending your time relaxing or at play. It was perfect for our very large family to celebrate a birthday and Thanksgiving!

Our family had a wonderful time visiting our Marine son for Thanksgiving. This property is the perfect place for a family gathering. Lots of things to do without having to venture out. The pool and hot tub are clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving dinner. The pool table and outdoor firepit gave the guys something to do while us ladies cooked dinner. Lots for little one as well. It was so nice to have a pack n play and a high chair. The hosts are super nice and very reaponsive. 100% recommendation!

Beautiful pet friendly home! My friends and I loved how spacious the house was and how easy it slept all of us. The pool and hot tub were amazing and very clean. The yard was huge and the neighbors were a good distance away. We loved the kitchen and used it to cook breakfast every morning.

Absolutely gorgeous property. Nice and tucked away from the world. Plenty of yard space to play cornhole and throw a football around. Be sure to bring bug spray as the mosquitoes get bad at night.

Too often, ABNB venues need you to execute on an extensive lists of “to dos” before you depart but this listing made an early, low stress departure easy, which was very much appreciated!

This was our very first “new family” vacation, the house and property was WELL big enough to accommodate us all! Some of the kids set up tents to sleep in on the HUGE property! We were able to set outside by a fire all night and just relax and have fun. Spent 2 full days at 2 different beaches! We truly had the time of our lives! Johnathan was quick to answer the phone when we set the fire alarm off while cooking breakfast 1 day ( note to self…next time open window first) lol one of the kids fell on the pool set that was broken so we quickly taped it up to make it safe again, only problem I can see is the pool though still nice is starting to show some age and the polls are rusting away. May need replaced next year. But still all in all I give this trip and their property a solid 10 out of 10! Highly recommend!

Excellent large home. Very comfortable. my guests and I had a fun time enjoying the pool, hot tub and fire pit. We slept well and were refreshed and ready for the day after spending the night. Definitely would visit again when we are in the area.

Jonathan and Misty were very accommodating and quickly responded to us. It was fun and clean. The TV on the porch was nice for evening relaxing while others went swimming. The Ranch at first glance not what I expected once inside I felt like a whole new world an amazing smell filled the whole home at door way. It was only my 2nd time renting an airbnb they showed me what’s possible in these homes what they can accommodate at a affordable price. The place was definitely made for adults, kids and infant. There was a big pool lots tubes floaties & fun outside activities(basketball, swing, volley for kids. Hot tub for adults and grill. There were Toys a play pin for my 14 month old son extra bedding for guest & amazing inspirational signs in home. We were very relaxed everyone really enjoyed themselves plenty of space. We definitely would choose to stay again even longer if they will have us back. Beautiful home👏🏾

This Airbnb was chosen for its amenities and location, only 30 minutes away from the military base. Its spaciousness allowed for a relaxing experience with loved ones, both indoors and outdoors. Even though our Marine has graduated and moved to another state, we eagerly await our next visit to this peaceful haven, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We booked this lovely home last minute on the day of when we found out our daughter was getting promoted at New River the next day. Jonathan was super helpful and accommodating. The house was clean, comfortable and cozy. We were able to cook and enjoy a memorable late dinner giving us some very cherished time with both of our Marines the night before. Our dog also loved getting to run around all the open space. We hope to stay again soon with the whole family when down in Jacksonville area visiting and actually be able to utilize the hot tub, swings and fishing pond!

This stay was amazing! Loved the nature and that the hosts had so many amenities that let you enjoy their properties beauty. Spent most of our time outside, but the inside was so comfortable and clean as well. Great for the price too!

Great stay and great location!

My grandkids and I had a fantastic time, they stayed busy playing, swimming, fishing etc. I absolutely will stay here if available every time I’m in Jacksonville! So relaxing, plenty for us to do, so much open space, home was so clean and we felt like we were right at home! I was able to cook all our meals with ease between the spacious well stocked kitchen essentials and the grill. The kids loved the pool table, volleyball area, basketball court, hot tub and swimming in the pool (even though it was so cold…they didn’t care. They loved the pool) They tried fishing but didn’t catch anything however they were in awe of the turtles sunning themselves and had fun swinging out over the water. Top notch location and so quiet!!

We stayed for just one night duento closing on our home the next day. I will definitely recommend to family and friends when they come to visit. Far better than any hotel and close to where we moved to.

We visited this location for a milestone birthday celebration, everyone had a great time! The hot tub was favorited the most but we enjoyed all of the amenities during our stay. Jonathan was very responsive and made sure everything was as expected for our celebration. We will definitely visit again sometime in the near future.

Planned a surprise birthday party for my husband at a community building close by and this Airbnb was the icing on the cake. Very friendly and responsive hosts, they even let me check in early free of charge. A wonderful and peaceful weekend getaway. It was cold when we went so we didn’t get in the pool, but the hot tub was amazing. The space was the right amount for our family. Very clean and beautiful on the inside. The master bedroom and bathroom was gorgeous! The little detail with decor and creature comforts were a great addition. Definitely recommend this place. I would definitely come back during summer time and take advantage of the pool.

Perfect location for our trip. We were only 15 minutes away from camp Geiger where my son had to report. Comfortable beds, friendly and responsive hosts, easy check in and clear check out instructions. They also left some snacks for us. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because of the cleanliness. Master shower was pretty dirty but the tub was not. There were also a couple of broken dining room chairs that need replaced. Beside those things place was great

We enjoyed our time at the house with our family. There was much to do to allow everyone time to relax and have fun together. Kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry were well equipped and had everything we needed. Would definitely get one their houses again!

The trip we had originally booked here was going so well that we decided to extend our stay. Fortunately, the dates were available, and the process was seamless. Our experience only got better with the extra time we spent here, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The host's hospitality and the property's charm truly made it a wonderful experience.

This was our first time with staying at an Airbb and I am beyond blessed that we picked this listing. Everything was wonderful and the hosts were spectacular. We were on the edge of the tropical storm, but our hosts communicated with us and calmed my nerves. The setting is perfect for a mini family gathering, very relaxing and peaceful. We were in North Carolina for our youngest daughter's wedding and were able to prepare the food for her wedding reception that was in the town over about 30 minutes away. Our last full day, the sun came out and the temperature got up to about 80ish and we were able to enjoy the swimming pool, the hot tub and later the massage chair. I can not say enough about how much my family and I enjoyed this property or how spectacular the hosts were; this is a beautiful place to spend time with your loved ones when.you need peace and relaxation.

Great stay, plenty of room, good fishing, and comfort

we always go to a rv resort in South Carolina for our family vacation, but this year we chose something different. That something was 131 Gillis, and it did not disappoint us. The kids had so much fun in the pool, on the trampoline, fishing, etc. there was so much room outside for them to run and play ..... we had a great vacation 😊

We used to live in New Bern North Carolina. So when we went looking for a home to stay in it was really important to us that the home met all of our needs. The home needed to sleep our large family comfortably, needed to be close to the beaches, private, relaxing and something we would look forward to coming back to. The home was all of that and then some! It checked everything off of our list. When we would finish up our day it was a lovely home to come back to. There were days that we didn't even leave the house because it was so comfortable and felt like home. If we had the chance to book again, we would! Thank you for welcoming us into your home and allowing us to make memories that'll last a lifetime. The reason we gave the 4 star for online listing is because of the pond, in the pictures the pond seemed nicer/bigger. Other than that, it was amazing!

We truly enjoyed the house ans the property. The kids loved the pool and hot tub! Lots of room for dogs to run! Went to emerald isle beaxh twice. About 30 min away. Only downside was flies which is beyond everyones control! Just the time of year! We did not use pond or boat as it was pretty muddy! It’s was just like the photo, the inside was clean right at home, even the kids love the pool volleyball, and basketball and the trampoline. The walking trails, fishing big patio with a big screen TV you can have movies night on patio. I will definitely be back for my next stay.

We absolutely loved staying here! It was so peaceful and we felt right at home! There were many toys and games for the kids to play with as well as a lot of room to run around and explore outside. We loved the hot tub and swimming pool and loved that it was so close to Emerald Isle Beach! If we ever return to the area we will definitely book this house again!

We was looking for peace and quiet to spend with our family and that's exactly what we got. the home was very clean, spacious and felt right at home. we enjoyed the pool and hot tub and grilling out. Jonathan and misty was very responsive and proactive from the beginning of our trip to the end. highly recommend staying and taking in the birds singing and the views. the location is close to shopping and eating with the out of the city feel. will book again in the future.

I had the pleasure of staying at this house, and the pictures did not do this beautiful house justice. The location is private and quiet. It just felt like home the second we walked in. I had never rented through vrbo before. I had asked for the location so that I could tell my daughter and everyone was surprised that the owner or manager gave it to me. They were wonderful about answering my questions via email. We loved having the large space outside. Although it was not warm enough to use the pool we hung out on the porch. I love the large area for my dogs to run.

This property is in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful trees in the front and side yards, and sprawling lawn all around. Very welcoming, peaceful, and private. With the pool, hot tub, basketball hoop, and pool table, we had a lot to keep us entertained. my family did not want to leave! This property and host are WONDERFUL!!!

The place was amazing. We didn't really have to leave the house at all. We ordered groceries to be delivered and entertained ourselves by the pool and hot tub. The house is so warm and welcoming. I Jonathan was so helpful.

Wow!! Where to start? This property is in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful trees in the front and side yards, and sprawling lawn all around. Very welcoming, peaceful, and private. The house inside is calming and inviting. My sisters and spouses stayed here while visiting our brother and his family, and the place was big enough to host a couple of BBQs with our brother & his wife (who is in a wheelchair), their daughter and her husband, and their four children. With the pool, hot tub, basketball hoop, and pool table, we had a lot to keep us entertained. Jonathan is an exceptional host, and we really appreciated the fan he provided...we slept great with the white noise. Jonathan went above and beyond, he responded to our questions and needs promptly, with grace and kindness. The only barrier, which we overcame with the help of our strong men, is the home is not wheelchair accessible due to a set of stairs in the back and in the front.

Jon’s home was perfect for my family and I while visiting It had plenty of family friendly activities. It’s located in a quiet area but yet not to far from town. The basketball hoop was a plus as I somehow missed that in the pictures/listing. But sure made use of it during our stay. Would stay again

This home was an amazing experience to bring 3 families together. The home had so much to do/offer. From Basketball, Volleyball, tree swings and a Hot Tub! We maxed out the house to visit our Marine and his family that lived just up the road. We brought all ages- kids, teens, young adults, grandparents in their 80's, in-laws and a dog. It was super comfy for us all. There was something for everyone to do-shooting pool, fireside, hot tub, games, eat and the chair that everyone wanted to take home! We were all together without being in each other's space. Grandparents watched all the fun from the dining table. We can't wait to return! Perfect mini-vacay place!

This place exceeded all of our expectations and was completely accommodating for a large family with kids! The house is exactly as described and even better in person with kind, personal touches and a nice welcoming basket. There was always something for the kids to be doing either inside or outside, and plenty of space and areas for the adults to relax. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I will happily recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking to stay in this area.

The house was exactly as described, perfect for a cozy Christmas away - felt like home. Plenty of room for all of our family plus dogs while visiting our Marine for Christmas (there was even a Christmas tree in the living room!). Jonathan was very communicative and responsive when I texted or called and just super, super nice. Planning on staying here again when I go down to the area. It was a fantastic AirBnb.

Absolutely wonderful!! Everything was cleaned beautifully and as advertised. Pool table and hot tub were in great condition and kept us busy all day. Fire pit was easy to use and maintain. The couches were comfy and they provided lots of blankets. Wonderful host and place at a steal of a price! 10/10 definitely recommend!

The place was beautifully remodeled, spotless and the communication was amazing. The location was a very nice rural composition. Will visit again!

Jonathan’s home is quiet, peaceful and cozy. There is plenty of space for a larger group and lots on the property to do. My husband and I found solace and comfort! It’s very close to Camp Geiger/Lejeune, and not far at all from the Atlantic. It helps to lay on the trampoline and look up at the sky! And so much space for kids or dogs to play. If given the opportunity, we will be returning for certain. Thanks much!

All I can say is that I love it there. I felt at home and enjoyed my stay. The host was very friendly and responsive. Definitely booking again.
